The Profile
LSmith.
I’m a Norfolk-based infrastructure specialist with 19 years of hands-on experience. I don't work for an agency; I am the person you talk to, and the person who builds your system.
Two Decades of Infrastructure.
I started building and managing servers in 2007. Over the last 19 years, I’ve navigated every major shift in technology—from the early days of bare-metal hosting to the modern era of containerized orchestration and high-availability clusters.
That longevity gives me a perspective most junior techs lack. I don’t just know how to follow a setup wizard; I understand the underlying logic of the kernel, the network protocol, and the hardware. I build systems for people who value stability over trends.

Personal Standards
-
Direct Accountability
When you hire me, you get 19 years of accountability. No ticket queues, no middle-management, just direct technical resolution.
-
Hardware Agnostic
I work with what is best for the project, whether it's Proxmox, VMware, or bare-metal Linux. I build for longevity.
-
Logical Integrity
Complexity is the enemy of uptime. I design clean, documented, and reproducible environments.
